Early Recordings
Before The Party League
Before Hip-Hop Party League, Anthony Antwann Allen recorded and performed Christian Hip-Hop as Bishop A.
Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes
The song reached #1 on SoundClick within the Christian Hip-Hop category, according to artist-supplied career records.
Prodigal Child
An early Bishop A release from his Christian Hip-Hop period.
During this period, Bishop A performed at church events throughout the South.
After moving to Atlanta in 2007 with his sister and fellow recording artist Donyale Renee, Allen performed “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” at Atlanta venue The Red Shoe.
It was during his Atlanta period that he connected with manager Virgil Loften and the foundation for Hip-Hop Party League was formed.
These details come from artist-supplied historical records rather than independently sourced press material.
Career History
From Bishop A to THA PARTY KING
Before becoming known as THA PARTY KING, Anthony Antwann Allen performed under the name Bishop A.
After relocating to Atlanta, Allen became the lead artist of Hip-Hop Party League, an Atlanta-based entertainment group combining hip-hop, party music, dance, live performance, and high-energy audience participation.
Working alongside producer Keith “Versitile” Bell, Tray-Dae, the Party League dancers, and manager Virgil Loften, Hip-Hop Party League developed a catalog of original music and performed on stages throughout the Atlanta entertainment scene and beyond.
The group recorded the EP “Wash-N-Machine” and the albums “Unleash The Beast” and “Freedom Party.”
Allen was also the owner of HPL Records, the label under which the group operated.
This period became an important foundation for the artist who would eventually evolve into THA PARTY KING.
Hip-Hop Party League • Bishop A
Television & Media Placement Legacy
The Hip-Hop Party League catalog went beyond independent releases and live performances. Music from the group entered television and media licensing, creating an early sync-placement history for Anthony Antwann Allen as Bishop A.
Documented Television Placement
Where The Party At
aka Hey Ladies
Hip-Hop Party League feat. Bishop A
The television placement is documented under the alternate title “Hey Ladies,” while the original Hip-Hop Party League recording is “Where The Party At.”
This distinction is important because portions of the Hip-Hop Party League catalog were registered or licensed using alternate song titles.
